I probably wouldn´t watch Oscars anyway. Only Hugh hosting would make me - I don´t think I can handle to watch the same faces to be nominated again...
If they will overlook movies like District 9 and stick with some unknown movies again, then there will be absolutely no reason to think that people in the Academy know what they are doing

I just hope he doesn't have long hair, that would just be a no no, and no shoulder length hair either. Drover hair would be great, the whole Drover look
would be great, lol, but I fear people will say it's too like the Drover. But this Tom is a little more clean cut in his adult form than Drover was and
he's clean shaven quite a bit so yea, we'll see.

I was hoping for longish hair - Drover-length would be fine - but I expect we'll get whatever length Hugh can grow between the end of the play and the
start of filming. I think facial hair should vary. When he's travelling about, personal grooming probably isn't too high in his priorities so we'll
get scruff and even a beard but when he's back home or in the town/city, he'll probably be clean-shaven.

I liked his look in Australia but I hope he will be different. Not full beard, because it would be really as Drover and I am sure nobody wants to connect these
two roles.

That's true, how much longer can his hair get in like a month. He can look like Drover, but surely his costumes here would be different with the different
location and different times. And we'll get him in Uniform!!! YES always wanted to see Hugh in uniform, and No Wolverine does NOT count, lol. I think
stubble will be the way to go when he's cowboyish, probably not full beard a la Drover. Not TOO long to wait before the shooting starts I guess, we've
made it this far.

In an article about Pattinson, this is mentioned about the movie and Hugh:
Pattinson's next film is Unbound Captives. He met Jackman in Japan recently for a little bonding ahead of the film. "We went karaoke singing," he laughs. "We were singing Abba songs, it was pretty funny. It was sort of an Abba song sing-off, you know, last man standing."

Me too don't worry Hengist, if you have some random comment about the movie, I'll have a random comment back, lol. I haven't been this excited
since before Australia, and this time knowing what to expect script wise and knowing we're in pretty safe territory makes me anticipate this one that much
more.
I've been revisiting the script thinking of stuff to post about, but can't really since everything has been covered, hahahahhaaa, although I did want to put down a time line or something but it seems a little too early for that. |

With the slicked back hair for the play, I had seen A STEADY RAIN for the first time last Saturday and had a great time looking at him from front row center. There were moments in the play when he was in complete repose and stood there without moving ( while Daniel delivered his monologue) - for the first time, I had actually thought, Hugh Jackman looked " too beautiful to believe"! The hair being slicked back put his chiseled face into a more prominent light and it was like looking at a Greek god ( and its connotations) - beautiful, very manly, commanding, compelling charisma... I have seen Hugh many times onstage in the last 10 years ( since Oklahoma!) but he has never been portrayed posed like a statue - what a revelation! As he is playing a quiet man in The Unbound Captives and will probably have many scenes showing him in a contemplative or pensive mood -- I hope that the cameras capture what I had seen that afternoon - an absolutely beautiful man! Minor spoiler -- towards the end of the play, he and Daniel are sitting on the stagefloor very close to the edge...as well as in another scene where he was seated and looked slumped on the floor as the play came to its climax. It was even more fascinating seeing him that close (maybe a meter) and seeing his very emotional face -- at the end, one can see the tears well up in his eyes and they actually course down his cheek! I am seeing the play a few more times - same row

Steady Rain movie (if there will be any). But I am not sure if he is the right one to do that. Gritty, dark thrillers are not for him (I think)
